General Information: Shepherd’s purse is a member of the Mustard family and found primarily in waste ground, lawns, and gardens.  It is an annual plant growing from 4” to 23” high and flowers from March to December, but chiefly in the spring.  The stem leaves are arrow-shaped and clasp the stem.  Basal leaves are deeply and irregularly lobed or divided.  The plant has tiny white flowers with a triangular pod that is indented at the tip.
