http://plants.usda.govGeneral Information: Common milkweed is a milky-juiced, downy perennial that grows 2’ to 4’ high. Stems produce relatively large leaves and pink-purple flowers in globe-shaped clusters. Its warty seedpods distinguish this species from other milkweeds. A member of the Milkweed family, it is found in fields and roadsides and flowers from June to August.
